VS150 is designed to operate in demanding underground mining environments and may be used to measure voids, stopes and rock faces where difficult.
The VS150 may be deployed conventionally using survey tripods or by remote control when deployed on rods, booms, masts, lifts and cranes. Typical use will be before and after excavations, before or after drilling and blasting and for end-of-shift volumetric measurements to gain a quick, easy, accurate record of productivity. It is easy to use – you do not require technological expertise - and, as such, is a vital new piece of equipment for the modern mining engineer.
VS150 is a small (overall width 130mm and length 490mm), lightweight (3.5kgs) for easy transportation and extremely rugged.
Simple to use the Two-Axis-Motorised instrument scans 250 points per second and stores the data on rugged PDA’s or PC laptop computers.
VS150 comes complete with MDL’s VoidScan® software to display (in real time) laser point clouds in 3D.
Data may be exported to most CAD mine survey software packages.
