We do not solicit personal information for our business, but if the client so chooses to give us home phone numbers or related personal data for their convenience we will treat it with due care and diligence and follow the provisions of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and any other relevant legislation

TEC respects the privacy of each individual and business with which it comes into contact, either as a client or as a visitor to this web site. TEC will not give, rent or sell any client information or any information about any visitor to this web site to any organization or individual without their specific permission.

TEC will not collect any personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address, unless you provide it to us.

Protecting Personal / Business Information
We understand the importance of protecting personal / business information. For that reason, we have taken the following steps:
a. Paper information is either under supervision or secured in a locked or restricted area,
b. Electronic hardware is either under supervision or secured in a locked or restricted area at all times. In addition, passwords are used on all computers.
c. Paper information is transmitted through sealed, addressed envelopes or boxes, by reputable companies.
d. Staff are trained to collect, use and disclose personal / business information only as necessary to fulfill their duties and in accordance with our privacy policy.
e. External consultants and agencies with access to personal information must provide us with appropriate privacy assurances.
Retention and Destruction of Personal / Business Information
We need to retain personal / business information for some time to ensure that we can answer any questions you might have about the services provided and for our own accountability to external regulatory bodies. However, we do not want to keep personal / business information too long in order to protect your privacy.
We destroy paper files containing personal / business information by shredding. We destroy electronic information by deleting it and, when the hardware is discarded, we ensure that the hard drive is physically destroyed.
