Thomas Engineering Ltd. (TEC) can easily and quickly map pit or quarry sites.

TEC will establish accurate survey control using Total Station equipment or GPS -- either as a local control system or by bringing in UTM survey control.

The Quarryman Autoscanning Laser System (ALS) and differential GPS are used to complete detailed mapping of all features of the property.

We can combine our surface measurements with information from others (e.g. subsurface data) to create models of reserve quantities.

Using the unique technology of the Quarryman we can scan the rock face locations from a safe distance.

Surveys are used to create both 3-D models and detailed plans, which can be used for:

  • operational control
  • site planning and development, including rehabilitation plans
  • regulatory / compliance purposes
  • royalty payments
  • reserve calculations
  • stripping volumes

Results can be supplied to the client in various formats:

  • drawings and perspectives
  • AutoCAD files
  • other digital forms

Once the initial plans are established, updates can be completed quickly and easily.
