Laser Surveying
Thomas Engineering Ltd. (TEC) specializes in reflectorless laser measurement services for pit and quarry, mining, construction and industrial operations using the MDL Quarryman Autoscanning Laser System (ALS). We can also provide general (non-legal) surveys and layout.
With the Quarryman ALS, we can:
- gather several thousand survey points quickly and accurately
- produce accurate 3D ground models and/or plans -- ideal for operational planning and control, inventory control and contract quantities;
- survey where other methods can not -- no need to physically be in difficult and dangerous locations such as climbing a pile

- Stockpiles can be measured within ± 1 - 2% of actual volume
- Results can be submitted very quickly following completion of fieldwork (within hours to a few days)
- Plans are produced in AutoCAD format and can quickly be updated.
