Precise before and after digital terrain models allow us to accurately calculate the volume of rock (or any other type of material) removed.
For quarries, mines, rock cuts, or any other excavations, detailed scans of the area provide a more accurate calculation of the actual quantity moved than do traditional sectioning techniques.
We can calculate the volume of material moved from initial conditions to theoretical lines, as well as the amount of overbreak in an excavation.
